JCCOM Co., Ltd. (the “JCCOM” or “Company”) regards protecting your Personal Information (hereinafter
referred to as the “PI”) as important and through this Privacy Policy will
notify you of how and in what way the PI provided by you is used and which
measures are taken for the protection of your PI.
[Consent to Collection of the PI]
If you join our membership, JCCOM will inform you
of the details of this Privacy Policy or Standard User Agreement, and if you
click on the membership button, you are deemed to have consented on the
collection of your PI.
[Purpose of Collection and Use of the PI]
JCCOM collects your PI for the following purposes:
- The issuance of membership and user IDs for the
services of JCCOM and its affiliated companies
- Performance of services (matters of delivery and
reservation of mail including giveaways)
- Measures taken for service failures and
customized service for individual members
- Collection of statistics of service use
- Other guides on new service and information
However, the Company does not collect any
sensitive PI which may likely be an infringement on basic rights of users. In
order to provide more abundant services, JCCOM collects additional information at
users’ own discretion not beyond the scope as described above.
[PI items to be Collected]
JCCOM collects the following PI for membership,
consultation and service applications.
- Information to be collected: name, birth date,
sex, login ID, password, home telephone number, home address, mobile phone
number, email, service use record, access logs, cookies, access IP information,
payment records, etc.
- Method of collection of the PI: homepage
(including membership, bulletin board, online consultation and online
reservation)
Collection of the PI by Cookie
JCCOM uses cookies which store and frequently find
out your information.
A cookie is a small piece of information which the
website transmits to your computer browser (including Netscape and Internet
Explorer). If you access the website, the JCCOM webserver reads the description
of the cookies in your browser, finds your additional information in your
computer and may provide a service without the additional entry of access ID.
Cookies identify your computer but do not identify you personally.
In addition, you have an option for cookies. By
adjusting an option in your web browser, you may either accept all cookies,
have a notice to be sent while installing cookies, or reject all cookies.
[Provision of the PI to a 3rd Party]
JCCOM uses your PI within the scope informed in the
Purpose of Collection and Use of the PI and does not use or provide that PI to
others or other companies/entities beyond that scope. However, in order to
provide better services, JCCOM may provide to or share with its partners: provided
that, if it provides or shares your PI, JCCOM will give you prior notice.
[Access/Correction of the PI]
You may access or correct at any time your
registered information. Upon making that access and correction of that PI, if
you either directly make that access or correction by clicking “member
information correction” or contacting the person responsible for managing PI by
email, JCCOM will take actions. If you request a correction of error of the PI,
JCCOM will not use such PI until the completion of that correction.
[Withdrawal of the Consent on Collection, Use and
Provision of the PI]
You may withdraw at any time the details of your
consent through membership on the collection, use and provision of the PI. To withdrawal consent, notify
the person responsible for managing PI by email and JCCOM will immediately take
the necessary action including deleting your PI.
[Retention and Use Period of the PI]
If the purpose of collection or provision of the PI
is achieved as follows, your PI will be discarded:
- As for membership information, when you withdraw
or are expelled from membership
- As for reservation, when the process under
reservation is completed
Notwithstanding the retention period as described
above, if necessary to continue to retain the PI, JCCOM will obtain consent
from you.
[Technical Measures for the Protection of the PI]
In treating your PI, JCCOM takes the following
technical measures in order to secure safety so that your PI will not be lost,
stolen, exposed, altered or damaged. Your PI is protected with a password, and
important data is protected with a separate security function with the encryption
of a file and data to be transmitted or a file lock function.
JCCOM adopts certification and security equipment
which can safely transmit the PI in network using a cipher algorithm and, if
that equipment is not executed, it executes intent confirmation with a helper.
In order to prevent any leakage of your PI due to
hacking, JCCOM uses a device for the blockage of invasion from outside and provides
24 hour monitoring of invasion by installing an invasion detection system in each
server.
[Opinions Investigation and Complaint Handling]
JCCOM opens a window where you can share your
opinions and complaints regarding the protection of your PI. Any person with a
complaint regarding PI protection may provide their opinions, and JCCOM will
immediately take actions and inform the results thereof to you.
[Policy for the Protection of Children under 14]
JCCOM does not share with a 3rd party
any PI of children under 14 without the consent of their parents nor sells or
leases any information of such users.
[Person Responsible for Managing the PI]
JCCOM designates a person responsible for managing
a privacy policy, who is in charge of policy of opinion collecting and
complaints of the PI. If you have any complaint about this policy, you may make
an inquiry to the following and JCCOM will kindly handle it.
